    NOT RECOMMENDED!!

The food at this place is overpriced for the average quality they carry.

The biggest con is the service. Front desk and waiting staff lacks common courtesy and customer service. Dont go there if you belong to minority or have a family. The guy, Vlad, is extremely and consistently disrespectful and rude. This was my 3rd visit and his 3rd time delivering the same rudeness. On my 1st time carrying out, i gave him a benefit of doubt that they are about to close and he is acting under pressure and urgency. 2nd time, i was carrying out, i thought, he must be busy and they are understaffed. This 3rd and my last time, i was with a family and he showed his extreme true self and confirmed "he was raised this way and then trained this way" and then "the management supports his rudeness" too.

Vlad has an accent but looks down upon people of color and accents. When i couldnt tolerate his ill-mannerism and asked for manager/owner, he and his co-worker lied on my face initially that manager and the owners are not here. When i insisted for name/number then his fellow co-worker bravely brought someone from the kitchen. The guy who came out never introduced himself and started faking the "neutral" and unapologetic apology.

Vlaf doesnt get paid enough and doesnt get paid for cleaning your tables or leftovers and gets extremely annoyed if he has to do even a thing. Please self-serve, keep your tips to yourself, and avoid this establishment at all if you want to enjoy your bite. I paid $50 for an okay food and pathetic service.

Go to Giovanni, Afrah, sofrah, kabobi, dimassi, tantuni, terra and find out what service and expereience of eating out is.

    NOT RECOMMEND!!

    Update:
Lies from the owner in the reply. We stayed 25 minutes to explain the issue but no one was willing to show empathy or display common courtesy. Anyway, please dont give your "pest" services at a food establishment.

This place is amazing the food and staff are incredible. The food here feels like it's my own recipe. If anyone is in town I would recommend this place to anyone.

I called in an order for 2 chicken shawarma sandwiches and, once again, Sababa gave me excellent food and service. Soooo tasty; I mean I'm going "mmmm" with every bite! Made in 10 minutes hot with fresh, crisp veggies inside--perfect. The staff was very friendly. In addition, a man (I believe to be the owner) greeted me at the door and thanked me when I left.
The food and service is the reason I always return to Sababa and tell everyone I know that it is at *Sababa* where you'll find the best chicken shawarma, (and other Mediterranean food) in the city.

    Went for the buffet

Ambience: nice cafe-style feel, in a newer complex compared to the surroundings. Came here for the lunch buffet. Here's the breakdown:

Salad:  is a salad. Not sure what to tell you there.

Hummus: no overpowering flavor, but pairs well with the other food.

Baba ghanouj:  good texture, I like a little more "bite" (salt or tang), but still good.

Pita bread: thick, warm, and good.

Baked chicken:  most flavorful chicken dish on the buffet. It's like a rotisserie with a Mediterranean twist (lemon or lime?)

Potatoes:  nicely seasoned, well cooked when fresh.

Chicken kabob:  good, but the baked chicken tasted better. Might have something to do with skinless white vs. skin-on dark meat though.

Gyro meat:  cooked well, not as heavy on salt as some other places, which is good.

Sweet tea:  has a Mediterranean flair, and isn't too sweet. I like it!

Service was fine - more functional in approach than overtly friendly. But it's a buffet, so your interactions are limited, and they're nice enough.

Not a bad place to go for lunch!
